About innovation
There are certain communication patterns and ways of conducting service in cultural institutions. Visitors are expected to be independent in their search for information, to conform to outdated schemes or to handle new technology without explanation. By spreading knowledge of how to communicate effectively with seniors and how to support them during their visits in cultural institutions, it is possible to prevent seniors from becoming discouraged, confused and (despite their initial desire to do so) abandoning the cultural offer.
As part of the innovation, the team familiarises itself with the e-learning provided by the innovators and performs the related tasks. The e-learning should be followed by a team meeting to discuss impressions and draw conclusions. The next step is to conduct an 8-hour training course based on the scenario and learning materials created in the innovation. At the end of the training, participants should fill in a goal sheet (available in the materials) on which they will write their individual and team resolutions. After one month, a short meeting can be organised to review the implementation of the change. Goals for the following month can also be set at this meeting. The indicated programme is not only a training project, but also an excellent opportunity for integration.
