Wstecz A book that enables self-acceptance and models good self-experience for CODA children in deaf families
About innovation
There is a lack of books that are age-appropriate for deaf and CODA children (3-7 years old), allowing them to better describe the emotions they are experiencing, as well as modelling possible ways of dealing with difficult situations due to the lack of hearing parents.
The book in the form of a PDF file (e-book) contains content in Polish, as well as illustrations and videos with translation into Polish Sign Language (PJM). It is available for free access from a tablet, smartphone as well as a computer. The book was written in accessible language and translated by translators specialising in children's interpretation. In addition, high-quality editing has been used, allowing the book to be freely received by children and deaf parents for whom PJM is the first language.
