Limited opportunities for elderly dependants to get out of their homes and participate in social, community and cultural life result in their isolation.

The innovation is about the creation of a system to provide elderly dependants with direct support at their homes. The focus is on gatherings of the local community right outside their residential blocks, focused on the interests of seniors who are given the opportunity to share their passion or knowledge with the neighbours. With the support of a neighbourhood activist and volunteers, a local micro-community can be created. A bus is an important part of the activities as it is used to transport people and equipment, and to promote the innovation. Key benefits of the innovation for seniors: - Introducing more variety to their daily routine - Meeting cultural and social needs - Overcoming loneliness (establishing new relationships, strengthening bonds between people of different generations) - Increasing levels of activity and sense of belonging (through personalised services and activities) - Improving the mental well-being.

The recipients of the innovation were able to participate in social, community and cultural life. They enjoyed sharing their knowledge, experience and passions visibly. The meetings were an opportunity for everybody to renew old neighbourhood friendships and meet new residents.
