About innovation

The nature of innovation
Model organizacyjny
The problem that innovation answers
The innovation addresses the problem of weak social ties and limited relations elderly dependants have with other people from the community they live in.
How does innovation work?
The project “Classy grandma/ Classy grandpa” stems from the concept of opening schools to the local community. The innovation is aimed at encouraging elderly dependants to establish intergenerational relationships with students and teachers from the nearby primary school. The relationships should result in seniors becoming more active and lead to a change in their attitudes towards themselves and the younger generation. The innovation involves the creation of a support network, centered around elderly dependants living in the vicinity of the school. By joining the program, they become 'grandmas' and 'grandpas' of designated classes in the school. The relationship the elderly people forge with school children is a two-way one. The generations exchange experiences and support each other in what the other cannot manage on their own.
