About innovation

The nature of innovation

The problem that innovation answers
People with intellectual disabilities are often not aware of their vocational aptitude or the variety of job offers they may chose from. They are usually not encouraged to take up paid work. That is why they often do not understand what a job is, nor do they have a habit of pursuing work.
How does innovation work?
“Win a job” is a game enabling the players to learn about different jobs, intended for people with intellectual disabilities. The game helps the players understand the basic work-related concepts and familiarise themselves with the most common jobs available in work centers, sheltered workshops and on the labor market that people with intellectual disabilities can pursue. People with disabilities play the game under the supervision of an educationalist, tutor, psychologist, career counsellor or therapist. The supervisor’s role is to help the players find their career aptitude. The game is a tool for structuring and systematizing vocational rehabilitation and career guidance for this group of recipients.
