How does innovation work?
“A polite converstio about finances” is an online course on how to manage one’s household budget and, consequently, how to improve one’s financial situation by avoiding bad loans and increasing savings. The course also offers ready-made plans for financial education activities and it teaches how to pass on the knowledge of managing personal finances to others. The Course “A polite conversation about finances” is divided in two parts: The educational part - this is the basic part of the course intended for anyone who wants to improve their financial situation, make a household budget and learn about the loan risks. During this part texts, graphics and audiovisual materials are used. The educational part consists of eight thematic chapters, each with five sessions: - Preparing a household budget; - Saving; - Loans; - Debts; - Mortgage; - Retirement plan; - Financial products; - Personal finances; The didactic part - the part of the course intended for people who completed the educational part of the course, acquired knowledge of finances, kept making their household budget for at least one month and would like to hold their own educational workshops on personal finances
Who is the innovation for?
Anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of finances and manage their own household budget. In particular: people who do not deal with finances on a daily basis and people who work in organization engaging in activities designed to benefit the community.

Results achieved as a result of testing
A model course “A polite conversation about finances” was developed and tested by the personnel of culture centers. The testers acquired knowledge about personal finances, they learned how to improve their financial situation and to increase their savings, and how to avoid bad loans. Then, they held workshops for the people living in their towns.
