About innovation

The nature of innovation
Produkt
The problem that innovation answers
During treatment, the lack of access to rehabilitation and reliable knowledge on nutrition poses a significant problem for cancer patients and their relatives. Rehabilitation measures provided by the National Health Fund are often delayed due to long waiting times, while private treatments are unaffordable to most patients. The same applies to the services of a dietician.
How does innovation work?
The innovation aims to increase physical activity of cancer patients and the awareness of the positive impact of appropriate nutrition on the recovery. Onco-Yoga includes instructional videos for rehabilitation. They emphasize aspects of promoting recovery that the patient themselves can influence, namely physical activity and diet. They focus on therapeutic yoga and physical exercises adapted to the patient's situation and abilities as well as on the nutrition. The videos feature cancer survivors as these people understand the barriers and limitations the disease puts on the patient. Those methods can be used at any stage of treatment and recovery.
