This innovation addresses the problem of depression and its impact on labour force participation and the ability of depressed people to maintain employment. It also addresses the lack of common knowledge about the difficulties people with depression face in the workplace and helps to better understand these obstacles. Employees after a depressive episode, due to their condition, are unable to continue working on their previous terms and conditions. On the part of employers, on the other hand, there is a loss of qualified staff who are on long-term sick leave.

To enable people with depression to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses in the context of work;to help them identify what tasks or situations may be challenging and what can help them overcome them;to educate them on techniques for dealing with stress, anxiety and other work-related emotions;to help them better control and manage their feelings;to educate them on common difficulties, such as destabilisation, loss of flexibility, or slowed thinking, that may occur at work;to support their return to work;to improve their wellbeing.
