The nature of innovation
Produkt
The problem that innovation answers
Digital exclusion of the elderly; lack of tools on the market that use VR and help in therapy for the elderly and people with disabilities; lack of tools to help with memory training; lack of adequate equipment for nursing homes.
How does innovation work?
Activity scenarios can be implemented both in individual workshop sessions as well as in group meetings, adapted to participants' preferences and their available possibilities. The project includes the promotion of intergenerational integration. With the help of virtual reality, it is possible to experience positive emotions, discover distant corners of the world, refresh memories by looking at favourite places, train memory, which is important especially for older people, introduce elements of art therapy, practice mindfulness techniques and alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Who is the innovation for?
Older people with limited mobility and perception; older people living in DPS nursing homes; people with disabilities.
Who can implement the innovation?
DPSs; senior citizens' clubs; institutions and foundations caring for older people or people with disabilities; volunteers.
