The innovation is intended for people with disabilities who cannot leave their homes.
How does innovation work?
This social innovation involves purchasing telecare equipment (laptops, medical alert bracelets, smartphones), providing training for telecare assistants and support to people with disabilities in single-person households who have difficulty leaving their homes. People with disabilities were given medical alert devices to be used when they suddenly feel unwell or if they experience a life-threatening or health-threatening situation. The alert device notifies the telecare assistant who can contact the person requiring assistance or arrive at the person’s home with a driver and check why the alert was activated. The project aims to ensure the safety of people with disabilities who are not able to leave their homes and to provide a quicker response in an emergency.
