How does innovation work?
YourWay is a package consisting of a database and a simple, intuitive smartphone app. With this the app, blind and visually impaired people have access to presentations of public places (where accessibility features for visually impaired people were installed), they learn how to navigate urban spaces, use public services (e.g. public administration offices, museums), find the right stop of the public transportation system or institutions adapted to their needs. The app can also be helpful for people with limited mobility, such as young mothers with children, or seniors.

Products resulting from testing
A searchable database with places accessible to visually impaired people, people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility;
– A smartphone app;
– Improvements made to the app after the trial phase: zooming in on photos, adding alternative text, redirection to Google Maps, filtering of objects with a beacon, sending a message to the administrator about a new place.
Results achieved as a result of testing
We created a database of Polish buildings adapted to the needs of visually impaired people or people with disabilities and mobility impairments. We also developed a smartphone app to help these people navigate urban spaces.
