The problem that innovation answers
The project focuses on addressing the inadequate accessibility of public spaces for children with limited visual abilities.
How does innovation work?
The innovation consists of the provision of the Warsaw Zoo area with special sensors that produce sounds and tell stories related to the different areas of the garden and its inhabitants. The sounds and stories are accessible are adapted to the needs of children with visual impairments. In addition, children are free to explore the Zoo area using sensory audio information, mock-ups and sculptures and an interactive guide. They can learn more about the animals, their habitats and behaviour, as well as the history of the Zoo. The innovation can also be adapted and applied to other public spaces to enable people with visual disabilities to have a more independent and educational experience when visiting and exploring different locations.
