Developing pupils' entrepreneurial attitudes
About innovation
Graduates from trade schools are often inadequately prepared for running their own businesses.
The innovation aims to familiarize students with the principles of running their own business in their last years of trade schools. It involves changing the way of conducting practical classes based on a modified entrepreneurship learning program, which includes the educational game "Your first step in business".
The implementation of innovation consists of three stages:
conducting lectures in the field of economics, accounting and entrepreneurship as part of a developed didactic program;
recruiting participants for the "Your first step in business" game from the participants of stage 1;
conducting a business activity simulation as part of the students' professional internships. Students create virtual companies, and real tasks performed during these internships become the basis for calculating the financial results achieved by individual game participants.

An educational game and its rules.
The innovative educational game was tested in the 2018/2019 school year between September 2018 and February 2019. Ten students took part in the testing. According to the final report, the main benefit of the project is the increase in participants' knowledge and awareness of entrepreneurship and running their own business Not only did the participants learn about the benefits of running their own business, but they also became familiar with a range of employer responsibilities, stepping into the role of both employee and employer. As a result of testing, improvements and modifications were made to the game enabling the innovation to be applied more widely.
