The problem that innovation answers
People from Ukraine face various challenges upon arrival in Poland, such as language barriers, adaptation to a foreign culture and customs, lack of specialised skills in elderly care and unfamiliarity with the topography of the city; social exclusion of senior citizens; lack of competences in elderly care.
How does innovation work?
The innovation creates opportunities for meetings between elderly Poles and migrant women from Ukraine who work as caregivers for the elderly. The innovation aims to meet the needs of both groups by supporting the caregivers in coping with daily challenges and strengthening their competences through integration with people over the age of 60. The innovation also aims to serve both groups in acquiring digital skills that facilitate interpersonal communication.

People from the Ukraine who work professionally as caregivers for the elderly in Poland; seniors from Poland; people under the care of these caregivers and their families.
Who can implement the innovation?
Third Age Universities; senior citizen clubs; associations and foundations supporting the elderly; associations and foundations for local activities; caregivers agencies; associations supporting immigrants.
